Adrian Villarreal

Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Adrian Villarreal knows exactly what a taco should taste like. Although Villarreal is a classically trained chef, it is the inspiration of his childhood that leads him to take on his newest venture, Rreal Tacos.

In 2002, Villarreal relocated to Atlanta after spending two years in Paris. While abroad, he worked his way through the ranks of notable establishments including LeDoyen and La Marée, while also finding time to assist with chef demonstrations for students at Le Cordon Bleu. Since his move to Atlanta, Villarreal has worked with renowned restaurants including JOËL as chef de partie and TAP Gastropub where he served as both sous chef and executive chef. In April 2012, Villarreal went on to work with The Spence where he took on the role of chef de cuisine working with Chef Richard Blais.

Villarreal draws inspiration from both his hometown of Monterrey Mexico, his knowledge of traditional Latin fare as well as his 20 years of experience working within the industry. With this new venture, Villarreal present an establishment that is focused on going back to the basics. His passion for all natural, sustainable, local and organic ingredients has been his foundation throughout every endeavor, and he strives to keep up those principles with Rreal tacos.

Villarreal currently lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife, Marcela, and son, Alek. When he is not in the kitchen, Villarreal enjoys swimming, running, gardening, camping and spending time with his family.
